DAMN!!! I guess I'll shut up about the prices down in FL then.

87 Oct = $1.68
89 Oct = $1.77
93 Oct = $1.89

Not bad considering all that you've listed here.
But is still hurts.
I remember about 18 months ago, I filled up my Honda Accord with Mobil 87 Oct for $0.89/gal.
What happened to that?

18 months ago is about right. Man, but it feels so much longer than that. Almost years. Heck, it's story telling age! "I remember back when gas was only $1.10 a gallon, sonny.."

F150Europe is right, to a degree. Prices are rising because there is demand and much of the demand is because of us in the United States. We've always been massive consumers of petroleum.

We can't take all the blame, though. Third world countries are using more and more petroleum products. Not only are they using it for fuel, but they're using it in various other products such as plastics in record quantities.

As the economies of other countries catch up with us in the West, the demand for oil will keep increasing.

The winner in this race will be whoever has the last oil reserves on this earth and enough cash to never be beholding to anyone else.

BTW, the actual price for gas is probably pretty much the same for most of us. The big difference that causes the differences in how much we actually pay is taxes.
