Well after seeing that maybe I should get rid of my truck and use the wife's accord to tow with. I was think I couldn't since it hauling capacity is only rated at 650 lbs. I guess it's time to slap a hitch on it

Just because you can do it doesn't mean you should.

The funniest thing about this entire thing is the fact that all of those morons are saying "good job for proving people wrong!" ect, ect.

Honestly... I could care less if the car does get damaged or not... what happens when your towing that 3000lb boat with your 2/3000lb car and you have to make some sort of on road maneuver? He isn't only putting himself at risk, but also everyone else on the road.

But obviously they don't care. The ricer pulled the boat many times, congratulations.... you proved everyone wrong, while risking peoples lives.

Edit: Sorry, had to add another thing... isn't there law's against dumb **** like this?

In all my years of getting an education the hard way, I've learned that it's not towing a load that makes a tow vehicle safe, it's stopping it. I've towed over 20,000 lbs with an F-100 but stopping it was an act of futility......not to mention toasted brakes. When I had my 28' gooseneck and pulled it for a couple of years with an F-250 diesel, I found out that a Dodge D-500 2 ton with a 318 2 barrel would run smooth away from my diesel pulling the gooseneck, get better fuel mileage, and you could stop on a dime- that's when the F-250 went up for sale. You can't have too much truck and these guys are nutz towing with a Honda of any kind.

I like how the guy said he made it so that the hitch will fail before the frame, so does that mean the hitch will fall of with the boat.

I'm actually kind of impressed that it was able to pull it out of the water. With that being said, I'm sure the next time we hear from this guy is while reading the winners of the Darwin Awards.....

About the second time up the ramp it's time for a new clutch. Tooling around the parking lot is one thing, how'd it do one the highway is another. I have a bud and his uncle has a boat dealership and they use a 20hp garden tractor to shuffle the rigs around. Labnerd's right it ain't getting it goin is the prob it's stopping that mass of weight and energy. There's times i wished i had elect trailer brakes on my rig. The next size up (6" longer) they offered as an option.

The cayenne has 550hp and is a suv. I dont think it should have a problem pulling a trailer, lol. The new diesel version has over 400ftlbs torque.
