The ELF are simply a bunch of terrorists. It's only a matter of time before the FBI catches them.

Another thing that I have seen being done in my area by "environmentalist" is the targeting of large trucks and SUV's with large bumpers stickers applied directly to the paint that reads, "My Vehicle is an Environmental Hazard." These stickers apparantly are very difficult to remove and cause some amount of paint damage when removed. I saw several reports on the local news of these teams of environmental protesters would head on out to shopping malls and tag all of the trucks and SUV's with these stickers.

Howdy!

Cowlady,

I know you're a very sweet lady, but you worry to much!

Sure, I love the environment and do my own part in volunteering to clean it up but those weirdos thrive on publicity such a as this posting.

Me, I just do my part and ignore them, for now. If they even think about touching my ride, I'll deal with them personally. Next mod: rigged-to-blow alarm system.

Am I making threats? Nah, I'm just messed up in the head.. Must be those long study hours. Makes you go postal. Hehehe.

Have an explosive day.

------------------
My ride:

Basics:
- '99 XLT F-150

Under hood and back:
- Ram air (Don't ask me how )
- AiRaid intake
- Flowmaster DF 50 Series
- 24x3.5" Stainless steel slashed tips (Yes! Solid polished SS, no cheesy chrome-plated)
...

Outside:
- Precision polished billet grille and plate holders
- American Racing 17x8s polished Pythons (Flushed front AND back)
- Goodyear.. something tires (Expensive is all I know. LOL. No Firestone firecrackers for me either)
- Rhino liner
- Ford nerf bars
- Ford bed rails
...

Inside:
- My girlfriend!
...

Fun stuff:
- Dual sirens Black Widow alarm system/keyless entry (Enough decibels to go deaf in a garage )
- Custom driving lights (Just a cool blue)
- 2 High-Watt lights behind grille (For people who cut me off )
- Dual horns (For people who, again, cut me off)
- Dual wheel locks (So I won't be driving home on bricks!)
- Spare wheel lock (So I won't have to use a brick as a spare )
...

Best of all:
- Texas A&M University aTm front plate! Gig'em Aggies!!

Yeah they make sence! I guess they drive around in those old VW Jetta's, you know the ones with their own version of the Mexican smog hanging around the rear of the cars!

Plus, fires? geez how wrong is that? All those plastics and other recyclables gone to waste just up in the atmosphere so we can get more cancers and such. Thank you ELF!!! Man this is nuts! I for one don't like seeing SUVs in a city but I respect them just the same! Why don't they go after much worse things than SUV's?

If I'd make a tree hugger group I'd aim all the fast food places to at least put some recyclable bins. I may be wrong but all the wasted containers from McDonalds end up in the trash right? They don't actually have people working for them separating the plastics from the paper? Well that would make a big difference! And no one would have to suffer.

Or what about the software industry with all that wasted packaging for a stupid CD-rom and a book. I know they are using more and more PDFs and downloads but we can still find way too much over packaged products in their industry!

Hell I can think of some good things to do without having to burn down people's property! Why can't they?

ELF (Enviro-lifeless-******ers)...

Besides "Saving the world" is stupid! The human race would have to be 110% efficent soon due to over population. Ha!! That will never happen! So why worry?, make the pollution, enjoy the warmer summers and shorter winters for those who live above sea level...

For the rest? Buy a boat and help pollute some more LOL

ephie, it's like I said, they just don't think things through. It's like they mentioned about putting those bumper stickers on the vehicles. Does it do any good for there cause? No... it pisses off all teh SUV owners. Do those people drive their SUV's to the junkyard to immediately get rid of them? No, they pay to have them repainted (costs insurance money, pisses off owners, but accomplishes no ecological agenda, and damages the environment even more with all the paint going into the environment!)
The "radicals" of the world have always been the same... I am right, you are wrong, you must suffer, evne if what you are doing really isn't that bad. Look at hitler. Killed jews. Why? Because they weren't *****. The ELF members destroy vehicles. Why? Because they aren't VW's.
It's a cult is all it is, a terrorist cult. Their religion is the environment, and they have such radical ideas that aren't even founded by anything, and feel that terrorism is the only way to solve the problem. They have many large corporate donors who always prefer to remain anonymous for obvious reasons, but many other non-terrorist eco-groups are privately funded in the BILLIONS each year which is why four-wheeling trails are continually shut down, progress is slowed worldwide (recently they tried to pass a law in Colorado to limit growth, which I saw as a "I moved here from California a year ago, and now that I'm here I don't want anyone else here!" law... as I recall it didn't post because it made no sense).
It makes no sense.
Off soapbox.

I'm with you F150man. Except if I get my hands on them, its torture time first. I've got a sick twisted mind and I can get creative. A couple people in chat can verify this. You DON'T touch my truck, unless you like pain.

Those some mental giants slapping the stickers on the SUV's and trucks obviously haven't taken a look at the sticker. Bumper stickers and the adhesive are made of petroleum. I'd be impressed if they used sheets of paper made with recycled paper applied with a biodegradable water based glue, but these people are lucky to be able tie their shoes without help. Again, yet another reason for breeding licenses.....

Yep ,these kind of peple are just plain stupid.Last summer a group of these enviro*mental*ists actually went to a logging site, drained the gas, oil, and transmission fluid out of the equipment (at night) and put dirt in the fluids place.those petroleum products all over the ground sure will hlp the trees grow.Give me a break.Anyway, there have been rumors about them doing something to my employer (Roseburg Forest Products).Security has been stepped up, County & State Police patrol the area regularly (Before the would do a drive by once a night).Security cameras have been installed all over the complex with the majority of them around the main office. Apparently this threat is very real. I can understand caring for the environemnt and doing your part but threating the livelyhood of 1000 people is downright terrorist activity. These people just do not understand, how good forestry can actually help the enviroment.MOre to come, I have to go take care of my little angle

my guess is they don't even recycle, but rather throw away their newspapers saying the recyclers are polluting the country and they'd rather take there chances with newspapers in the biodegrable junkyards.

Okay - I am NOT trying to start a debate here. On "World News Tonight" (ABC), they did a feature about an eco-terrorist group called Earth Liberation Front (ELF) which is targeting gas guzzling vehicles. A Chevy dealership had 36 BRAND NEW Suburbans set on fire & totally destroyed. I don't care what brand of truck it was - that is insane & dangerous. The FBI has labeled this group as extremely dangerous!
In case you think they ONLY target dealerships, think again! They are also burning down PRIVATE HOMES which they believe are encroaching on the enviornment! It has happened all over, including Long Island, NY!
This group has it out for whatever THEY think is a waste of natural resources. Our trucks can be viewed by them as a threat too!
As I said, I am not trying to start a debate. I am very concerned about the enviornment - I sorta need it to live! I recycle & do whatever I can to help clean it up. Heck - I don't even throw cigarette butts on the ground - takes 30 YEARS for them to bio-degrade! However, ELF is a dangerous threat to EVERYONE whom THEY think is the enemy. Be careful - we never know if we're next. This isn't just stickering our trucks - it's destroying them & homes too!
