Extended warranty help

I JUST BOUGHT AN 06 F150 W/36,000 MILES. I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE KNOWS OF SOME GOOD EXTENDED WARRANTYCOMPANIES THROUGH THE INTERNET & ALSO IF ANYONE HAS HEARD OF AA AUTO WARRANTY.COM & IF THERE ANY GOOD. THEY QUOTED ME A 5 YEAR/100,000 BUMPER TO BUMPER WITH A $0 DEDUCTABLE ALSO COVERING RENTAL, TOWING, ETC FOR $2000. THEY ARE TOP CHOICE ON AUTO WARRANTY RESEARCH.COM BUT WHAT DO I KNOW.
I WOULD APPRECIATE IT IF SOMEONE COULD STEER ME THE RIGHT WAY.

It seems to me that people have a lot of trouble with anything other than that offered by Ford. I have never bought an extended warranty on anything, and never needed it. If it were me, I would put the $2000 in a savings account and see what happens.

Turn off the caps.

Save your $2000.

From: Georgia on my mind...
Caps lock is your friend.

And don't waste your time with anything other than a Ford ESP if you're going to get one.

Why buy a car you plan on having more then $2000 worth of problems within 5yr or 100k of owning it?

I mean what happens to a car (Outside of a wreck or failed maintenance) that adds up to $2k?

FyI, Ford already insures your engine/drivetrain 5yr/100k.

Thank you for pointing out good reasons in not getting an extended warranty. Im starting to change my mind. The truck I bought had an injector, cat & plug replaced from the dealer at 22,000 miles from the previous owner & the plug did break when theyremoved it. Most of the maint. I will do myself but im nervous about engine problems, anything else that may be quite costly & also having the problem it had before. My other truck was a 97 GMC which was easy to work on & the parts were not expensive. This is the newest truck I ever owned & it looks like a whole different animal when it comes to repairs & costs for parts. Maybe I need to grow bigger ***** @ just drive it & not worry. Thanks again.
To 1st 4x4, whats up about Ford insuring the engine/drivetrain 5/years, 100,000. The warranty on truck ran out at 36,000. Please inform me about this if its something that would apply to anyone with this truck.
