Hi,I have a Ford F-150 1997 motor 4.2 4X4.I had no time to change my (wires,plug,and my coil pack)so my truck was at a garage they gave me my truck back and after 30 minutes my truck was not starting and when he did start I could not drive 1/2 miles he stall at every stop.
If I put it on a neutral at the stop and hold the gaz pedal he will go if I pomp the gaz to keep going.
at the idle is ok but as soon I engage at drive or reverse it stall.
If somebody can help me please,

Have you ever changed the fuel filter?
YOu should post this in the v6 engine forum, you will get more help there.

 

How a truck run well and they change those part and came out of the garage with this problem

 

if it was the fuel filter the truck will have problem on the road but my problem come only when I am on engage drive or reverse at the stop .as soon I can go after the stop I have no problem the truck is ruuning well but as sonn I take out my foot from the gaz pedal at the stop or slow dow the rpm is going dow and dow and stall,I restart the motor with no problem .

The garage may not have plugged the wire back correctly, or it is dirty.
