When you buy the scanner, the vendors usually give you a channel sheet to program the scanner with. The channels rarely change so you dont really have to reprogram it each race you goto.

I learned after the last race I went to. Dont go to anymore races. BUT, thats me. I've got a bigger more comfortable chair with cheaper beer at the house. Didnt stop me from going to Speed Street though. Race is in Charlotte this week. I think when I checked into it last time, If you hold on and use them more then 2 or 3 times, cheaper to buy a scanner by the time its said and done. Have fun though.

I'm not one bit a Nascar fan, but I did goto Loudon once and it was damn cool. The sounds of being there are worth the price alone.

One time thing though for me though... circle track is so boring.

If your close get ear plugs, if your far away, seriously consider it. Them things are a helluva lot louder than you think.

Me too! I'm going on Saturday though. I always wanted to check it out. I look forward to the tailgating, since it's going to be about 8 of us from work that are going.

As the thetruck said they will give you a chart with the frequencies of each team. If you buy from them they should automatically program it for you so you wont have to sit there and do it. It takes some time.

Have fun at the Monster MIle. I've been there a couple times when I lived in DE and it's a good time

The Sprint rental scanners were relatively cheap when i was at Vegas, cant remember prices tbh i had my own. a lot cheaper than buying unless you go regular.

You will love it. Allow plenty of time to wander around all the merch trucks. Vegas this year was my first live race, well worth the 9 hour flight. Im planning on getting back for 'dega in nov.
