Angry Errors hitting the message boards!

Is anyone seeing a lot of errors trying to hit the message boards lately? About 60% ofthe time I'm getting a message that there's been an error and list a few reasons why I can't get to the boards.

I've emailed Steve and at one point I thought it was an update to my firewall but it's not. It's frustrating.

Yes ,I have been getting the same messages, too!
It is usually one of those(A connection failure has occurred) Or the same message along with a multiple errors box below. It also seems that the pages are very slow the last few days. Time between them, that is.....and as F150Europe said, when this happens(sometimes) I will get disconnected at the same time(but not all the time) I have had to dial up again only to find it has sped back up again,,,,sigh,,,,,,98

Well 98SCREAMER I'm glad that at least one other person is getting the errors.

It's not my ISP. I've got ATT Cable and run a firewall. After one of the updates is when it started. Although I can't always duplicate it, about 80% of the time I can shut ofthe privacy service and I'm back in. I'm thinking something may be making the message board S/W think I'm running the ananamizer (I know I spelled it wrong, I'm tired. I just finished washing my Expy in the dark!)

Thanks for all the replies.

Has anybody else using IE 5.50.xxxx.xxxx been having problems with this site?

There have been many occassions recently that I've only been able to get the top 1/4 of a page to load. I don't think it's my ISP since this is the only site that I'm having problems with and I download at up to to T1 speeds consistantly with my dsl line. It's a rare day that I can't download a file at less than 1 meg a minute.

I've also noticed that there have been times when I have to keep clicking on a link to get it to work.

This has been going on for about 3 or 4 weeks and I finally got sick of it and thought it might be a problem on my end, so I formatted my drive and reinstalled everything and I am still having problems.

Also there have been many times that I haven't been able to get this board to load, yet I go to another site that's using the same board, it works perfectly.

I downloaded Netscape 6 and it works better, but the lightbulbs don't show up half the time and I got a couple of error messages about not being able to connect with this site. Then I go to another site and don't have any problems.

Mine has stopped doing it,at least temporarily.(knock on veneer on particle board, lol) I didn't change anything, really. I installed an updated version of the startup disc the day before yesterday, and now my screen is showing all text at larger settings. I've used Preferences, and the pull down View menu to change some of it back to the original size, but the forum pulldown, and the Submit reply(and Clear fields button)have stayed at the abnormally large size.....wierd!!,,,,98

If some of you are experiencing problems like this on the Message Boards, it may be due to external links. For instance, if you open up a thread that contains user "posted" pictures, in reality your web browser has to retrieve them from different servers than F150online. If, for example, Zing or Geocities is having connectivity problems, pulling up a page here that has links to images on these servers will make it appear as though F150online is moving slowly, when it really is not.

Addtionally, there is a bug in IE5.x that will present a "Connection Failure" dialog while a page is loading that will stop it in its track. All the code that you see here has been tested and retested with browser versions back to 3.x without a problem.
