Old timers question, re hand cleaner

Used to have a hand cleaner that came in a tin about the size of a Crisco can. Was white & like the consistency of soft Crisco. Smelled kind of neat in an awful kind of way.

What was it???

Funny, I remember a one syllable name, but "Goop" doesn't ring the bell. Does it smell kind of solventish?

Stealth, yes you are an old timer

That is what I think you are talking about, but now it is a plastic can.

Or are you talking about "Go-Jo" which also came in a metal tin and often came with a swanky wall-mounted dispenser with a pump on it that the tin fit into so you could just pump the product into your hand.....???

Nah, no citrus smell. Wasn't Go-Jo. This stuff was pre-1980s. I remember using in the house that I moved from in '78.

Might be Goop.....

I remember Gojo too. My old man had both goop and gojo. That stuff was old and nasty. I used it after I'd overhaul my bike. Always got nasty, rode everywhere when I was a kid.
