Copperhead on Ebay...
so I'm getting old

I still like it better.
What was Ford's country cadilac called? I forgot?
It had the rounded streamline look.
I'm a big fan of the sleeper look
there's a guy in the town where I went to high school who's got an all original apache, he's the original owner and it's the only vehicle he's ever bought
it sure is a pleasure watching him drive it but people get mad at me for driving my harely truck that much but I really enjoy just looking at it now

I like the 'sleeper' type, more plain look. But it's the top shelf components under the surface that are so appealing about this truck.
In any event, the bad economy and depressed market for 'real' muscle cars clearly hurts the value of this custom creation.
You can get a nice '69 Z/28 or Boss 302 for under $100,000 these days, or a 428 Mach 1, etc... Those cars have way more investment potential than a custom like Copperhead, even with its TV pedigree. They won't be as fast in a straight line, but still fun to drive.
I think the market for this truck is a guy who was thinking about doing a custom truck on his own. Now he can buy a turn-key monster and be driving it next week.

I would have thought it would have gone for a bit more; but it is a pretty poor economy.
It is a sharp truck, but is a bit simple in appearance. I love the '67-72 body style, think it's one of the sharpest designs of the era. My buddy had a '68 with a big block (original 396), and talk about a screamer.

I like Copperhead, but I would rather own Stacey's Bronco project - Crazy Horse.
For that matter, I'd like to have one of Nugent's zebra striped Bronco's as well, especially the one that Stacey David modded for him.
Ahh...... if only money were no issue.
