So, a #6000 brick gets 11.5 mpg in the CITY and that's bad??? I think that's right on par with the situation and to expect more is just plain expecting too much from life...

How do you figure a tuner is going to help?

It's all dependent on how you press that go pedal and the stop pedal... If you press them both a lot, then the mpg's go down... Press on them easy and don't hit the stop pedal all the time, then the mpg's might go up...

Changing your driving style can make a huge difference in mpg's..... And it's free....

Just think every time you hit the go or stop pedal, you've just used more gas.... Ease into that go pedal a bit easier and coast up to stops or traffic and it'll make a difference...

JMO on it...

Mitch

Several checks on mine today as I made a fairly decent long trip. Something just over 200 miles up and before leaving topped off from running around locally

Local miles 14.9 MPG and trip miles 19.9 MPG. All hand calculated and, surprisingly on a 3.73 rear end 5.4L truck. I don't think I babied it that much. Trip was average at 70 to 75mph. Local miles were all over the map and mixed sort of driving. Tires pumped to 34.

About 10-13 mpg for me, just depends on how hard I drive it. With E-85 it drops by about 3 mpg, I found that It cost the same in the long run between it and regular gas.

I'm driving over to Kansas (8 miles) and paying 15 cents more a gallon to get gas with no ethanol. Runs better, and gas mileage is much better. I bring my gas can for the lawnmower with me too.

I'm at 11.3-11.6, but I drive it like I stole it. My foot only knows up and down, nothing in between LOL.

Just filled up again and this tank I really "grandma'd" it around. I got 12.9 mpg. A good increase but wish it was better. It paid off though.
