So I spend about 5 hours washing and detailing my moms truck for her birthday. Did a nice job if I do say so myself. I go in the house for about 3 hours do finish up some stuff and I walk back outside and there is bird crap all over the truck. So I look up and there are about seven crows in the tree! The birds being there has been going on for a while.

The question is how do I get them to stay away? I have tried cd's and owl's and nothing has worked. The ugliest and most annoying birds are pretty smart. Anybody got any suggestions?

Get some realistic looking rubber snakes and place them on the branches overhanging your vehicle. It works.

 

The tree hangs over the driveway, my mom parks in the driveway. My dad hates guns so no guns in the house...

I have the same problem.... Neighbors tree hangs over my driveway.... I think imma trim it straight up the property line..

 

I used to deliver food supplies to a school cafeteria that had birds roosting inside their dock over-hang. They had to clean the poop daily. The health inspector told them to put a fake snake on the pipe the birds were roosting on, and it would keep them out. It worked. They never had bird poop to clean up again. It's worth a try. I've made the same suggestion to other people, and it worked for them, too. The snakes are cheap.

I put a fake snake in my mailbox and I haven't got a Bill in nearly six years.

 

It's not the snake. They got tired of processing all those rubber checks.
