do you think this a scam? (RESPOND ASAP)

i am selling a used silverado bumper on craigslist and I've been trading emails back and forth with this guy... heres the conversation tell me if yall think he's legit

**** It starts from the bottom up****

Hello Edward,

I would indeed like to buy the bumper.

I am very unknowledgeable about Dallas. I am at the holiday inn in north dallas which is on loop 635 at the exit where the toyota place is......right past the web chapel exit.

I wonder if you have time to drop is off. I'll pay you $10 extra for your travel.

Blessings,

Ronnie Hood phone: 9033995158

Sounds fishy to me. Call the phone number and talk to him. If he sounds interested then make him meet you somewhere with more people around like a gas station.

Hard to tell anything from that. I see no reason to suspect he's not legit. Meet him at the front of the motel near the office and take a friend.

no i haven't called him.... i'm assuming he really wants the bumper because he emailed me in the morning and i didn't respond, then he emailed me again asking for the bumper... i was thinking of going around 4 or 5 in the afternoon with a friend and after he gives the cash and i give him the bumper... i'll go home the long way or maybe stop at a store or something

You could also call the front desk at the Holiday Inn and see if he’s a registered guest and if there is anything going on at the hotel conference room. If you do go meet him, meet him inside by the front desk most hotels have cameras and I would expect anyone I trying to scam would be weary off meeting in there.
I sold a set of rims last weekend and met the guy at a shopping mall, my general theory is to stick to busy places and keep your guard up.

*** OKAY HE SAID THIS WHAT DO YALL THINK ****

Yes,

I tell you what.

I believe you to be a very honest man,

My 2000 chevy truck is in the third parking spot to the right of the main front door.

I can speak to the hotel front desk and arrange this now so they'll know you're purpose when you come.....anyway......In the morning, you can place the bumper in the back of my pickup and take the $60 from under the jug of anti-freeze in the back.

I can even send you the number and name of the front desk person so that you can verify if you would like.

If all of this sounds strange......I can meet you outside at some arranged time

Ronnie

I would call the hotel just to see if he is registered there and make sure a conferance is going on. Sounds like it may be legit. Just dont hand over anything until you get the money. If your going to call dont use the number that he sends you. Look it up online so you know it is a legit number and the person that actually works there that you are talking to.

OHHHHH.... I got it. Borrow Buckdroppers Barrett .50 cal. Go there in the morning and take a buddy with you. Have your buddy pointing the .50 cal at him the whole time. He wont try anything stupid then.

Haha did he seem a little strange? lol. It appears from the emails he may have been dropped a few times. But congrats on a succesfull sale. I always take at least one person with me when doing any craigslist transactions. Better safe then sorry.
