My new ride

My new ride...or should I say toy. I picked up a Yamaha YFZ450 on Saturday. It was a great deal from RideNow out of Phoenix. It came w/ a bunch of upgrades...pipe, jet kit, k&n filter, nerf bars...ect. The only thing I really have to buy is a set of paddle tires for the dunes. It was either this or getting a set of rims for the truck, but this deal was to hard to pass on. Enjoy

I had this machine bought about 3 weeks ago, only problem was it was located 5 hours from my house. Wife and I loaded up called baby sitter, then baby sitter fell through. I called the dealership and told them I would not be able to make it that night.

I told him I understood that they were closed on sunday but the quad was paid for in full with a credit card all they had to do was load me up the quad was ready to go. The dude told me that he would not meet me on sunday. I asked him if anyone would meet me just to sale the thing to me and he said no. So I got off the phone with him, looked at my wife and went to Lowes and bought some things.

I still hurt over that deal going south to this day, the dealership called bout 4 times a week ago and I told them I was not interested in the quad, it was a 5 hour drive and the only day I was able to make it was that sunday, they couldn't meet me there for 20 mins O well. Ill get one soon!

And BTW nice ride, my brother lives in Utah southern Utah actually and he sends me photos and videos of him blastin threw dunes and sand trails all the time. I just sit there and whine about how much I want to be there riding!

I've never had the chance to ride quads in the dunes, all we have is gumbo around here. I'll bet it's a blast.
On the other hand , you now need wheels for the 150 and the quad
Have a blast!

sweet...looks a lot like mine. I have an 04 YFZ450 with yamaha pipe and muffler, jet kit, air box lid removed and dyno tuned. I use to have an 89 250R Quadracer that was tuned for 50:1 and had reeds and pipe/silencer and filter with no lid....and this bike would probably leave it in the dust!! Plus, you just have to love electric start....LOL!!

660's & 700's are fun. my buddy has a 350 for his kids and thats what he let me practice on. i had the intent on getting a 450 but just didn't know which one...honda, polaris 500, kawasaki, or yamaha. after looking at craigslist & ride now dealer. the dealer had the better deal. get this, the internet had it for $2999. i went to the dealer and the sticker was $4999. told the guy i didn't drive an hour for nothing, he was cool about it and double checked for me and boy did he come out shocked. he couldn't belive they lowered it 1/2 off. it was a steal. after getting home i totaled all the upgrades that it had...$1600 worth of upgrades!!!

Nice bike. I've got a '03 Raptor 660 with a few mods on it. Please take the K&N Filter off and get a foam filter of some sort. Especially if you're riding the dunes.
