Door Locks
just picked up my '97 f-150 from the Ford paint & body shop. It was being completely repainted due to the paint being too thick (20 mils). It was in the shop for 17 days. However, I noticed the electric door locks will only lock. They will not unlock. Question: Is this due to a fuse or possible connection that wasn't done when they repainted. I would like to fix this myself if I could. Don't want to have to take it back again. Appreciate the help!
Question #2
If I have the doors locked and I am going down the street, my passenger decides to pull on the door handle, should the door open or remain locked? My truck doors will always open from the inside even if the doors are locked. Doesn't seem safe. Are all the F-150's like this?

Those door locks are one of the good things about my Crew Cab. I've got child locks on the inside edge of the rear doors. I keep my 6 year old's door locked so he can't just open it any time he feels like it. When we stop I have to get out first and open his door. This is the same boy that actually opened his door (on another vehical) while we were moving. He was in his car seat at the time!!! So even though he's 6 now, I still don't trust him.

I have had trouble with my power locks as well. They unlock just fine. They do not lock from either power door lock switch. No noise, no clunk, no nothing! I'm getting concerned, I just hit 40k and I need to get my rear sliding window replaced because the frame is cracked and now the power locks.
I checked the fuse. I thought it might be a relay, but I can't find any relays labeled power locks in the manual. (I figured it might be one for lock and one for unlock)
Does anyone have some insight?
