I own 2 Bronco II 4x4's and just bought an 84 F-150 to tow one to trails and need some advice on brake upgrades.
I know about the rear disc conversion offered by Stainless Steel Brakes but is there anything cheaper out there?
What is the recommendation for the fronts?
I'm thinking cross drilled rotors up front with a better brake pad and swapping to rear discs.
Any manufacturers come to mind?
Just need to find out what rear end I have to price the kit for the rear discs. I have to replace brake parts anyway and would like to just do it while I'm there. The truck is still at the guys house so I can't check out the tag on the rear right now.
Also,I need some performance opinions.
I would like to swap to EFI but it will be cheaper to upgrade the carbed for now.
I was curious as to what any of you with the older 302 have done.
Headers, intake, and carb are first on the list but would like to hear horror stories or positive things about individual components. Then an ignition upgrade is next.
First is the brakes and a tranny cooler!!
