Question

I can understand all of the cars on the list except one: Ford Mustang

OK...they should have said: Ford Mustang GT+ (the "+" being all SVT variations).

I see just as many "chicks" as guys, especially in the V6 model.

All other cars are rightly there.

Must be more Mustang owners online than any other group (this was an "email" survey).

Did you check out the "chick" car winners?? http://cartalk.cars.com/About/Guy-Ch...sts/chick.html

that's funny.

I am in agreement with murfster... many girls in v6 Mustangs. Though I didn't get the Mustang because it's a waste if you don't have the GT!

It's funny I was asked just yesterday "Do you drive that red VW Golf parked outside?". I looked at the guy in disgust! hehe.

I don't consider the F150 overly manly, although it is a tough truck... I took one look at Ford's rounded trucks and had to have one. To me it's sooo much tougher and sturdier looking than its boxy counterparts. Does that make me any less girly? I doubt it!

AMEN! I have been preaching that since they started doing 4cyl and 6cyl 'Stangs. Such a waste. I used to be able to tell the difference from a mile away, but now, you have to get fairly close to see what kind of Mustang it is.

F-150 over manly?? No, heck, my current GF drives mine everyday (I get it on the weekend). She doesn't think it's manly at all (she did a little "interior decorating" on it though...sigh).

Ahh well...so many GT's, so many kills ... so little time ...

Question

Uhh murfster, define "interior decorating"!

I don't think it's manly at all, that's why I think it's funny that more girls don't drive them. I see more chicks driving Shovies! I think it's great that more girls are driving trucks as long as they don't handle them like cars!!

*sigh* I wish I had gotten a V8 in the truck but just couldn't afford it. But to me a sports car without a V8 is silly... a truck, well it's alright, now I have something to step up to on my next truck

I see more women driving Mustangs than men. Have to say, though, that if you see a GT, it's probably being driven by a man.

Actually, if you look at the picture of the Mustang, it's the Bullit Mustang, though I highly doubt they were talking about the Bullit.

Cool

redridinghood do I really have to explain what she did?? Dangit, I might be kicked out of the "macho-male, over-testosteroned, type-A club of America" if I reveal that information.
OK...OK, I'm secure in my "manly-hood"... ahem ... she loves cats. She has a stuffed pink cat velcro'd on the dash. There's a flower (I explain to my buddies it's a "weed") of some kind hanging off the mirror.
When I drive the cat and the weed go.

As far as the Mustang. I think the survey was skewed by all of the "online" Mustang owners. There was probably an organized online rally to pump up the numbers of male Mustang owners. In my opinion, the numbers are are incorrect and the Mustang is just as much a Chick car as a Guys car.

Ahh well...so many GT's, so many kills ... so little time ...

murfster: that's not too bad. Things could be worse, you could have no girlfriend or she could have put girlie stickers all over. I have a friend whose car is just covered in these icky stickers. And it's not a Mustang thank GOD or I'd have to slap her!

I feel insulted that the truck I drive every day would be considered in a car contest let alone in the top 5. Now, for sure my next one will have to be a SD.
The Super Duty is a much more "manly" truck than the F-150. IMHO.
