Talking My wife doesn't understand why I.......

Was sitting at the pc this morning contemplating the purchase of the Airaid FIPK. I have some overtime work coming up so I figured what the h#&^, I can cover the cost no problem. I told my wife what I was intending to do and I get this blank stare back. Then she says "I don't understand why you need to do that to your truck". I said, "It's simple, I'm a man and that's my toy". Whats to understand, right!

So, I was thinking, I bet the rest of the guys (and gals) on this sight may find this ammusing and want to share their experiences and have a little fun.

My wife bought my K&N FIPK for my birthday after hearing me talk about what I had learned about them online!! She knows I like nice toys, and never complains about me buying them. Now she wants me to find one for her Honda Prelude. LOL!

PS: She's also the one who convinced me to buy the Harley truck. She said, "I wouldn't mind being seen riding in a truck like that"
Guess I got a keeper, huh?

BigRed,

Who earned the money? Tell here that you will spend your hard earned money any damn whay you feel like it. But, don't let my SWMBO know I'm saying this she'll kill me.

That is the problem with marriage these days. These women think that once you say "I do" at the alter it means:

I do let you (wife) make all of the decisions.

I do let you have all of the money.

I do what every you tell me to do.

Snyper,

Definetly sounds like you got a keeper. :~)

Bar4,

Suppose taking a hard line is one way to go, but I prefer to avoid divorce and keep my toys. lol

Simply take the word "performance" out and insert the word "efficiency". Honey, this will increase the efficiency of the truck. Why keep paying more at the pump? You do want us to save money, don't you?

Cool

The trick is to "hook up" with a similar type. You do know that you're going to have to hear this for your whole marriage? Don't you?? Funny, but not kidding !!

The Trick was to have carefully 'conditioned' her over time to accept your 'toys'.
Remember toys are to be played with, and I am sure she wants a 'playful' hubby as long as he is playing with toys out of his own toybox. So with that in mind, "Keep the toybox full" I always say.

LMAO!!! This sounds all too familiar!! I also have been looking EVERYDAY at the fipk. But just the thought of her finding out has kept me from ordering it! I have snuck more ups packages in the house and onto "her" expy than I care to think about! Im still tryin' to dig her outa my @$$ from the Gibson exhaust I put on without her knowledge! So I better let that issue cool down before I surprise her again. The fuel mileage gain excuse aint gonna work out for me anymore Cause it aint gotten much better anyhow. Any ideas?LOL!
