Talking Very satisfied with Ford!

Finally got rid of that lemon 98 Explorer. Ford gave us $5000 assistance to get out of it. My wife now has a 2001 Taurus LX with an EXTENDED WARRANTY. I loved that Explorer- great power, great seats, awesome stereo, sunroof, pleasure to drive but it was the most troublesome, unreliable vehicle I have ever experienced. Stalled on left turns, passenger window never worked right, the engine never idled smooth, chronic rear suspension noises, etc. etc.

I am very happy with Ford for doing this. We could have gotten a lot more if we lemon lawed it but it would have taken six months. The Explorer had 44,150 miles on it at trade in. We got the Taurus at $100 over invoice plus a $1500 rebate plus %7.9 APR and we got a 75000 mile extended warranty for $1390. I think we did well and Ford really stepped up to the plate to make us happy. And, FYI, the Taurus is a really nice car now. I highly recommend this car for the price and features.

We remain loyal to Ford. We are very happy with the way this was handled. Autoway Ford did a great job too (part of AutoNation).

Good for you. I don't know much about Ford cars but i love the trucks. I know a few people that have the new taurus and they love em. They look good to.

flaREDside,

No Valk yet, I had made my mind up on a Tourer in the end. I made the deal, and had to comtemplate the $3500 plus hosing I was gonna get over the two months of owning a Sabre. I could not do it. I instead bought a National Cycle windshield, Hondaline rider and passenger floorboards, a tank panel, and a Mustang seat for the Sabre. I am much happier with the Sabre now. I have decided to ride it for a year and buy an end of year blowout 01 Blue/White Valk and dress it like the Sabre. I already have 3000 miles on the Sabre in two months so I should be ready for a Valk in a year or so. And I won't get hosed so bad in the end.

Yeah just ride the Sabre for awhile. I wouldn't take the hosing either. To me a bike is a bike is a bike. I rode an 1980 Honda CB900 before I traded it in. I would still be riding it if my Dad hadn't bought a Valk and let me ride it. Dang him I went out a week later and got a 99 Black & Silver Std.
F-150's and motorcycles. Don't get much better.
