Finally got my Challenger!!!
People like me do not get these cars, especially one of the first made !!! I watched the unvailing of the car at the Chicago auto show and they said if you had one of the original 70's Challengers that it was worth about $300,000.00 TODAY, and that this new version could be worth $3,000,000.00 in 30 years. What a legacy to leave your children. It is going to be tough to do, but if someone offers the right amount, it's gone....

Sweet score on the Challenger though!
I always wanted an Old School car with new technology. This car caught my eye when i was a kid. I remember when a friend of mine stole his sisters and we went on a joy ride. We never got caught, but that was one thing i remember from my childhood. When i saw the concept car at the Detroit auto show, i fell in love with it. Don't get me wrong, the Mustang is the sheeet, but this car has been a favorite for me.
Yes I agree 100% I love the mustang and the camaro is sweet but when I first saw this concept my jaw dropped and I was hooked 100% this is the one "new old school" car that I want more then any of the others its lines are just beautiful! I am still

I'm a Mustang guy to the core, but I do love the looks of the Challenger.
What a waste of a cool car!
I know it is sorta rare but why own it if it can't be driven on sunny summer days? I know a guy with a 78 Firebird with only 35,000 km's (21,000 miles roughly) on it but he still drives it. What's a 1000 miles a year in the summer? At least you can enjoy it. You might as well buy a painting if your looking to invest your money.
Jay Leno has some of the rarest cars around and he still drives them. To each his own I guess.

Yeah, when I went to my local Dodge dealer to see it when it came out last year, the odo on the car has like 13 miles on it and when I asked if they took it around the track, he said: "No no no...this car has never been driven. That from loading/offloading from the truck"
He started to get mad when I laughed my butt off

Awesome deal man. To have a number that low will score you at least some money in the future.
If it isn't from the 60's or 70's, it isn't gonna be a collectible.
What a waste.

Maybe the OP enjoys looking at this more than a painting? Maybe he feels the rate of return on this investment will be greater than a painting?
BTW, is that '78 Firebird one of the first 10 made? Even if it is, it will never be as collectible as the OP's #6 Challenger. Apples and oranges.
Jay Leno is so wealthy, it matters nothing to him if one of his cars goes down in value.
The car was purchased as an investment. It is smart for the OP to do whatever it takes to maximize the investment. Some future rich person will pay handsomely for that car some day.
If the OP wanted a Challenger to drive today, he would have paid much less and got a used one.
