Heard this on the radio on the way into work this morning. There weren't many details on it, just like the article. That's one hell of a Mother's day present if they had kids.

That's a horrible accident. I don't understand how something like that happens.

That's is really to bad.....almost had something like that happen to me. I was cutting down a tree for a good neighbor and her daughter was helping me clear the brush away(who is really cute btw). Well, I went to turn around with the saw in my hand and she had come up along side of me and was bend over picking brush up and I must have come about 6" from her neck....no joke. The clutch was disengaged so the blade was not spinning but it still freaked the both of us out a bit.

Not to put light on the above situation but I told her if she wants to bend over in front of me do it when I don't have a chain saw in my hand.

I did some tree work years ago and the first thing we were told is while someone is using a chain saw dont come up behind them and tap them on the shoulder because there natural instinct is to just turn around.

The wife was probably holding a branch for her husband and the saw kicked back and hit her. That and the trolls under the bridge are a bit different.
