I think the camero interior looks a little too..... Whats a good word for extraterrestrial? Like a space ship. Its plain, which for some drivers is a great thing. They dont like busy dashes. But its a little too plain for me. With a rod like that, you'd think thered be a little more visible techno in it.

The only negative thing I'll have to agree with about the new Camaro, is yea', that interior is pretty boring..... Just doesn't seem to match such a exciting, sexy exterior. Hmmmm.

A new Mustang ? You can have every one of them. I see SOOO many Mustangs, they are just starting to bore me to death.

The funny thing about this thread.... and Ford (or Chevy) forums in general, is to listen to 'Ford' (or Chevy) guys talk crap about the other company, like their preferred car company is just all good, and the other is all bad.

Come on.... Really.... if GM really made as bad a vehicle as many of the Ford guys say, OR if Ford really made as bad a vehicle as the GM guys say, both companies would have been out of business a LONG time ago.

It's really just a question of personal tastes..... and if you have to wonder how crappy a lot of guys personal tastes are, just look at how many "white" vehicles are out there ;-) LOL

Peace,
Fish

I get to give my buddy crap for buying a Chevy, he told me they even gave him a $700 cleaning kit for free! I laughed hard at that.
There's a Roush 427 and a Shelby GT500 in Kingsport, TN, both are in the 40s.
The Shelby is in the high 40s, but 40s.

Reliability still matters as well, not to mention potential. How many people who actually want to race stay stock?

The government didn't have to back Ford's warranty claims.

But...Chevy IS going under, the government had to step in and promise to back their warranties so people wouldn't be scared to buy them, and they still haven't picked up sales! They temporarily shut down every parts factory in the states so instead of the 2 week shutdown in July like normal they are all shut down for up to 12 weeks.
There's a reason for this, and a reason that Ford hasn't had to use bailout money.
The difference between the "guys" that talk about the other company is that one set of them has facts and figures and actual data to back up claims.

So for people on a budget, you get 75 extra hp over the Mustang and save 10k from buying the Roush 427 with 2 more HP. Find me a new car with over 400hp for under 40k and then we'll talk. I just really liked the F-body cars and the LS series engines. I had the LS2 and loved it, power to boot, Mustangs must have really liked my tail lights because they kept coming to race me. I got tired of it and wouldn't even race them any more but they sure kept trying, especially those Mach1 guys.

I had 1 issue with my GTO and it was an air bag sensor. Took it back to the dealership and an hour later I was on my way. It's a first series production car, of course it's going to have some bugs and things to work out. I didn't keep track with the Mustang but I'm sure the first year model had some issues that were worked out as the majority of new platforms do.

Remember our F150s would just catch on fire randomly, even when just parked in our driveway not running. You can't argue reliability with a company who made the Ford Exploder. I love my F150, trucks hands down, Ford. I'm more tempted towards cars with GM, not necessarily Chevy although that seems to be the only line left that will produce Muscle cars (if the govt. doesn't make them produce only hybrid gay cars LMAO).

That may well be true, but that particular guy currently owns a: 2010 camaro ss, a 2002 camaro ss vert, a 2002 pontiac firehawk formula, a 2006 Pontiac GTO, a 1977 corvette, a 2007 duramax silverado crew cab and some other toys I would love to own. Maybe the money he saved on haircuts paid for his rides?

Sure, I'm sure there are other guys out there in a Mustang saying the same thing about F-bodys. Too bad you left out the other issues such as the horrible interior fit and finish, the squeaks and rattles, the never working switches, the glove box and console lids that always fall off. Or what about the big bump in the passenger floorboard. Too bad they forgot that you have to have a catalytic converter. I had several friends that had them they were all a pile of crap.

Too bad the GTO was not a new car. It was a warmed over Holden. Which by your own words GM still managed to screw up things on.

Both of the issues above were due to vendor parts that did not perform to the specs. The only problem with the Explorer was the Firestone tires. The poor maintenance and reaction by the drivers only increased the issue. The vehicle was not the issue.

Most of us on here came about our dislike for GM honestly. We have owned their products and have the knuckle scars to prove it. We would rather be driving our vehicle not fixing it.

Wow! He must be the king of the mullet club then.

I still think it is hilarious that Camaro owners have a reputation of being guys who are still stuck in the 80's and the one guy you posted about fits that stereotype to a T.

There is even a mullet named the "Camaro mullet'

Grabber Blue a horrible color choice?

I'm speaking from experience. I've owned both a LS series and a Ford 3v. I hated hated hated hated my '04 Mustang GT. I love my Ford truck, way way better than the Silverado/Sierra. When it comes to the muscle cars and me, I'll go GM hands down. I loved my GTO, miss it all the time.

Looking back to the early 2000's I still saw a hell of a lot more Mustangs than Camaro/Firebirds combined. I had a buddy who had a v6 Stang and thought it was the fastest thing in the world until he raced me in my bone stock Nissan Sentra SER Spec V (n/a 2.5l 4cyl). IMO they should make both the Camaro and Mustang in V8 version only and get rid of the "poor man's" version. It just dirties the image.

True, but the cheaper versions is where they make their money. They sell a lot more or the V6 models than the V8 ones. It may create a better image but it is not a very wise financial move.
