New Computer

Talking New Computer

Well today I went ahead and bought a new computer system to replace my old slow one. I got a HP 766mhz with a cd rewrite drive my old system was a Pacard Bell 200 mhz it was almost 4 and a half years old I can tell the difference in speed already.

I had a Packard Bell....It is the reason I now know enough to work tech supprt =)
I'm running an AMD 1 GIG system now....OMG it is amazing!!!!

Yeah the new generation of PC are blazing fast but don't buy a pentium 4 cause they are only supposed to be around for a few months (like 3) before the 64 bit "Itanium" processor come out and take the market by storm. After they come out buy a P4 at 1/3 the cost they are now

Scary that they will rip a billion ppl off then introduce something next generation right after to suck more money out of them.

Save that Packard Bell. They don't make them anymore so it's destined to be a collector's item. Trash collector, that is.

Well the old one is going back into its box and stored for if for some reason this one goes south I'll have something until I can get another new one but hopefuly that wont happen and this one will last me 4 or more years.

Finally decided what I wanted and it arrived the other day. It's a 1 Gig PIII Coppermine, 30 gig hd (7200 rpm), DVD, CD-R/RW, ATI Radeon video with DDR ram, SB Live card and the Altec Lansing subwoofer with 4 satelite speakers, amazing! And I upgraded from a AST Pentium 100 mhz, lol!
