Thanks for all of the information. Lots of good stuff here.

I'm planning at this point on only getting the V6. I've driven one and it has more power than I need. I'm on a $15,000 ceiling so the V6 and manual transmission save me a bundle. I've driven a manual transmission since 1981. They don't bother me a bit. No other big concerns regarding color, just not black or white. Planning to go with the XLT model.

A XLT with just stanard equipment and no options will run you around 20,000 for a reg cab 4x2

Sorry, I meant to continue an existing thread and started a new one by accident. I'm looking for a 1999 model and have a fleet discount at a local dealer.
