He's more than a little crazy, thats for sure, but the media has made everyone think that anyone can make a nuke in their backyard. North Korea has figured out how to refine nuclear fuel to nuclear bomb levels, but they have yet to enrich a large enough amount for a nuke. They have also yet to build reaction starter small enough that will fit in an ICBM, and will also make the nuclear fuel go to super-critical levels (aka go BOOM).

So, as of now, all they have is enough to send a dirty bomb almost to Alaska. Dangerous, yes. End of the world, no.

 

How hard would it be to send a black-ops team in and "take care" of him?

 

From what I have read, North Korea's borders are very difficult to access...and the whole country is paranoid. Getting in and out of the country (even with airdrops, etc.. is beyond extremely difficult. I am sure they have thought about it, but I doubt seriously if anybody has serioulsy tried to implement it.
