Maybe the same guys, but I was going north on I85 one afternoon & some guy in the passenger seat of the car passing me was hanging out his window checking out my truck & finally looked me in the eye, gave me a thumbs up & I read his lips "NICE TRUCK"

I had a hot mustang a couple years back that really stood out and I could hardly go anywhere without people looking, snapping pics, and asking about it... I eventually sold it.

I guess you could consider it a compliment. Someone so envious of what you have, they tear you down to try and bring themselves up.
no, thats just lowlifes, jump out and flog them ****ers. if they die, oh well they probably didnt have any legal documents.

but yeah, i get the occasional compliment and its nice.

Couple months back, I had a guy compliment my truck; we were both in a parking lot and it became very awkward. He was in a little green Geo Metro POS and all I could muster up was a thank you and switch the conversation to how good of gas mileage he must get in his car.

It was filthy too but people still wanted to look at it. Every single time I fill up it becomes a interesting situation. All good though I love talking to new people.
Thats because your truck looks like the friggin bat-mobile.

I get compliments about my truck from time to time, usually people asking about the lift or HIDs. Just about anyone who rides in it asks about the sound system.

The best was when I was outside working in the engine bay one day. I had the engine idling because I was checking on something, and some guy walks up to me and asked if I had a diesel swap. I said "no, thats just my cam phasors ticking like mad." They really are that loud, its ridiculous.

My truck is too plain for my area, I get only dirty looks and no compliments. Although, my truck is louder than most around here.

I don't like the comments one bit.

'You need a lift?...'
'Need to call someone? I've got a cell phone...'
'Why's the hood up?...'
'Wasn't this truck sitting here yesterday?...'
'Hey, you should really get that all the way off the road...'

I get compliments quite often from many other f150 owners. Seem to make a new friend once a week it seems like. Very rewarding.
