Browning HiPower question

A buddy has two for sale, 9mm, Pachmayr grips, night sights (maybe Trijicon), some "slide and trigger' work done. He got them from an estate sale, doesn't know much else about them. Wants $850 each. Is this any knid of a deal?

Best bet is to go to Gunbroker.com and price them. That way you can pick the exact pistol as there appears to be a couple.

There are several different Browning High Powers. The ones made in Belgium are the best and bring the most money. If made in Belgium, they are worth the bucks. My brother has several made in Belgium and his favorite he had Armoloyed....twice. He has carried it so much he has worn the finish off of it three times now. You probably couldn't haul the ammo that has gone thru it flawlessly in a pickup truck. Extremely reliable weapon and shoots like a target pistol. They are a favorite around here.

I've got one. Fantastic Gun! Same grips too. Labnerd is correct. The Belgium's are very desireable, but even an Argentine works great (just not worth 850).
