Tattoo's will feel different to certain people. when I got the one on my arm done it kinda had like a numb feel to it. You should be fine. Just make sure it is a decent place and you should have no problems

its all about location.

had one doen on my arm that almost tickled more than anything else.
had another on the top of my foot, and that hurt like a bear.

i never considered the potential pain at all when getting one done. either you want one, or you dont.

edited to add: saw you wanted a comparison of pain. its sorta like getting stuck with a needle a whole crap load of times

I always thought it felt like getting little cuts by a razor blade over and over.

It's not too bad, just be sure you get something you really want on your body the rest of your life.

My son in law has his name tat'ed across his back, I asked him if it was there so he would remember how to spell it? LOL-WTF! Anyone else have their own last name on their back?

Did he play sports in HS/College? Maybe he just wanted people to know who he was if he was playing a shirt/skins game and he was on the skins team.

In high school, there was a wrestler on an opposing team, that was huge, he was like 5'4" and a 215 pounder. Guy was about a foot and a half thick. He has Hoffshnieder Tattooed on his back, in letters about 3 inches tall. Guy was freakin massive.

Don't know why he did that, but remeinded me.

My best friends son was on a full ride college scholarship for football. Good looking kid, awesome shape....and decided during the summer before his freshman year to get his name tattooed all the way across his back/shoulder blades. I guess in the style of a football jersey, but in more goth font style. It actually looked okay, if you don't mind permanent things like that.

But then he decided that he was lonely because most of his friends went to a different school....so he got lazy and flunked out of school before the first semester even ended. Sheesh! Now he is a waiter....makes me wonder how the tattoo fits the mold now..

I have a tattoo that goes across my upper chest/collar bone and yes it did hurt, it hurt quite a bit, but I was able to handle it.......its not the best feeling spot to get a tattoo out of all the ones ive had so far but its not unbearable.......everybodys pain tolerance is different.....I say go for it...itll hurt but in the end youll have a nice piece of work ;-)
