Trees and Shrubs

Does anybody have any suggestions for a tree or shrub to plant in a really wet area? I would like something that is also low to no maintenance and also somewhat nice to look at. The ground is constantly wet in this particular area and the soil is clay-like as well. I am hoping that a tree or shrub will be able to dry it up somewhat and make the ground a little more usable. Thanks in advance.

They have lists of trees for both dry and wet areas.

nice site, now i just have to find one that grows rather quickly so i can choose between a wind barrier and some shade. tore the willows out from the front yard cause i dont like weepers and my circle drive was easiest put in there.

Kudzu, would be the biggest mistake ever. Don't do bamboo either.

I recommend curly willow, with some citronella planted around it. Mosquito's love willow, and the citronella will run them off.
