New used truck?

I am looking at a 03 F350 4x4 XLT reg cab V10 automatic. The guy (neighbor) wants 15k for it. It has 32,000 miles and is in excellent shape in and out. It also has a meyers snow plow that he uses only for his driveway and his dads.

Is it worth 15K???

It books at $15,800 on KBB (private party), so I'd say its a good deal. Low miles, so you can't go wrong there.

One of the biggest problems with buying a used vehicle is you don't know it's history. You usually have no idea how it is used or abused. Since this is a neighbor, I assume you won't have this concern. That is a big plus.

That sounds like a pretty good deal to me -- especially if you know the owner and that he takes good care of his stuff. I'm usually a little leery about trucks that have been used for plowing, but as long as it's just the light duty stuff you've described I'd say you'd probably be ok.

Sounds like a decent deal, but gas mileage isn't the greatest from what I've heard. Good motor, but sound wierd with dual exhuast due to the firing order.

I almost bought an 03 V10 and I thought it was a very solid and smooth combo and if I ever go back to a gas engine it will be to a SuperDuty with the V10 under the hood. The dealer is a family friend and let me use the truck to tow a skid steer one weekend and it had absolutely no problem moving 10k down the highway at 55-60 MPH. If it was my choice to walk away or buy it I would buy it.
