I hate to admit this but I fell for the Nigerian scam BS once.

Had a cell phone on ebay, got a email from a old lady in georgia wanting to buy my phone for 200$ more dollars only I had to send it to her grandson in Law school in Nigeria cause they didn't have good stuff there.

Well long long story short I had never heard of this scam prior, once I figured out it was a scam I felt SO sick on my stomach. Some how by the grace of the Lord did that box get lost at CDA and just had arrived at JFK to ship overseas. This is no lie just so happend that that box had fell off the converer belt onto the floor.

When I called the man who was responsible for this kinda stuff at JFK he told me out of 20 of these calls he recovers only about 1 or 2%. He called me 5 hours later saying they found my box laying on the floor, and the flight had taken off hours before I even contacted JFK. Needless to say I kissed his **** over the phone for 20 minutes and rejoiced. stupid scams since then im quick to call ebay or CL on a poss scams.

PS I hope ur wife is okay, there still sale'in trucks. not wives

How bad was the wreck though? Wife ok?
Maybe so but I like the chevy. I wanted another Ford but i couldn't find what i wanted. The wife wasn't hurt she ran into a pole at the grocery store. It caused the chrome front bumper to curl under the truck, the lower valance that i just installed about a month ago is ruined also.

You were lucky to get the cell phone back. She's fine. She hit a pole that run's horizontal along the sidewalk in front of the grocery store. It was just tall enough to hit where the valance bolts to the front bumper.

I'd block this guys email and completely cut off contact. If you have that many potential buyers, then take either your asking price or the highest bid from someone standing directly in front of you. I've sold a lot of things on CL and I accepted cash every time (exc. one where I accepted a postal money order and didn't ship until I successfully cashed it AT the post office). These people that want to pay with a cashiers check have to go to their bank and pay with cash to get it, anyway. I'd also take someone with you to meet the buyer in a neutral place (like a restaurant parking lot or something). Leave them in the truck with a cell phone while you make the deal, just in case. I've never had any trouble, but they don't call me Mr. Safety for nothing.

I use paypal for anything like that, that way they keep all of the documentation of the communication and everything for you and you have a legal leg to fall on so to speak if anything happens, cash is all fine and dandy but theres no real legal leg to stand on besides word of mouth

I already sold the atv on ebay. Got more money for it than I was asking on craigslist.
