today the belt on my v6 f150 snapped. I got the new belt on and everything on,no problem but it will not get tight for me. the tensionor pulley is spring loaded and i can't really do much manually with it except turn it then it goes right back in place. any help is much appreciated, i have about an hour before i have to be at work.

Is the tensioner tight? Or did the tensioner break?

Are you sure you are following the correct belt routing?
