Unhappy This has to be some kind of record!

Well, my dad finally bit the bullet and got a 2001 SC 5.4 4X4. On the way home from getting it about 250 miles from where they live he stopped by to see me at college. On the way home about 10 miles from our house, and ~200 miles on the truck, they hit a 9 pt. buck at about 50mph. Needless to say it did extensive damage to the front end, hopefully cosmetic only. Anyway, they're both fine which is the only important thing. It's a good thing they were getting the new truck because if they had been in the Audi the outcome probably wouldn't be so good. I just figured it's got to be some kind of record for least miles travelled in a new truck before a confrontation with an Elk. Take care, and watch out when you're driving.

200 miles from the Dealer to the Buckin repair shop. Yep! Sounds like a record to me!
