If it is the yzf R1 then it is a good deal. I would go for it.

As someone curretly looking into getting a bike is there much room to talk these dealers down on getting a new bike? The bike companies are not in the same boat as the car companies I would imagine so does a MSRP of a new bike typically what you end up paying give or take a few hundred?

too much for $5000 miles I would look at the kbb value of it and take my negotiating from there. I would offer $3500 to $4000.

If you are financing the bike then there isn't much room to negotiate, but if you walk in with $7000 wanting a bike that MSRP is $8500, i'm betting you walk out with it...errr ride out on it

I was thinking it was the naked 1000...I rode a 05 R1 a while back and It was a all around nice bike! Great wheelie bike
$5k is cheap w/ the low miles! Is it your first bike?

Around here all the bike shops are real slow and making deals from what I've heard.

I'd guess the bike companies are hurting just as much as the car companies. People just aren't buying toys anymore.

being its an R1 and not the FZ1, I say its a good deal. Is the exhaust a full system or a slipon and is it carbon, chrome, or titanium? Its not dropped or stretched is it? Dropping and stretching a bike turnes it to total hell and it don't handle for crap unless you are a straight shooter.

I miss my R6
