Thirdly, all three cars that he picked were Skyline GT-R's. Two of them though were the previous generation. They are badass cars actually. However, none of the parts of the new car would have easily swapped to the old cars so I don't know why he even needed the new one. And as for who gets it impounded...stupid people that drive with a suspended license or drive drunk.

after seeing the movie again, and paying close attention to detail....the parts were swapped out.

it shows briefly the motor out of the 09 GT-R being lowered into th R34 skyline body, as well as interior modifications including the all digital gauge screen used in the new GT-R. Kinda threw me off first too, like why didnt he use the new nissan, but when he's in the garage afterwords working on the vehicle, multiple parts are swapped. You could probably only notice if you know the insides and out of all the cars well. Check it out next time

Yeah I know. But he would not have been able to build that car in the time that he had or even by himself. Another aspect of the movie that was a little too unreal.

Is anyone seriously worried about anything in a fast and fuious movie being authentic? My buddy wanted me to go see this latest one with him so he loaned me the first 2 to get caught up. The first one was painful to watch but I made it all the way through. I liked the second one better but that could be because I slept through half of it. I saw Tokyo Drift a long time ago and can't bring myself to watch it again. Given the track record, I really can't get excited about this movie. Might wait until it's on TV and watch it?

The lack of authenticy was what I LOVED about the first movie. Shifting 7 times in an eclipse or nitrous backfires that blow the floorboard out or the turbo n/a motors. It was all so funny. That is what we loved about the movie. They tried to be accurate this time and they failed.

If you see it for anything, see it for the sweet cars.
