Question Foglight Bulbs...

Well guys and gals-
After 42,700 miles in 18 months on my 1999 F150, one of my foglight bulbs finally burnt out last night, and I went to get a replacement for it, and can't find the bulb anywhere. It is the 9145 bulb (H10), no parts store has them, and then I stopped in a Ford Dealership, and they pulled it up on the computer, and they list not only the 9145, but also the 9006 bulb....So which is it? Do I have to stay with the 9145 or can I switch to the 9006 without any problems? Please let me know....I want my fog lights back......Thanks in advance for any assistance that you can provide to me.

I'm told they are the same bulb, and when I pulled mine out to put my PIAA's in place of the stock fog's... they appeared identical to the 9006.

Yeah, I noticed that they looked similar...but I am wondering what the long term effects are with going to the 9006..If there is a wiring problem, or melting problem with the lens on the fog lights...
