Cool, I've never seen and inch worm chevy before. I'd hate to be the guy that had to tow that thing. It would be a real pain in the ***.

THAT is EXACTLY why I drive a truck! It was probably a survivable accident for the front seat occupants... I'm quite sure he was hurt, but the fact that he or she was driving that truck is most likely what saved him or her. (I'm assuming the occupant(s) survived) If that's what it did to a truck, think about what it would've looked like had it been almost any passenger car?! Scary.... It looks like that was an extended cab by the back window on the passenger side... amazing..... I know they're trying to engineer in larger crumple zones, but isn't that going a little bit overboard?? ;-)

Exclamation Another bent Chevy

Boy these Chevy trucks can`t take being rear ended very well. I`ve seen one local like this and just found this one on web trying to do a used parts search for a friend.
Something big nailed this in the back from the looks of it.
Leaves one less Chevy Z71 in the world to get in our way Nonetheless Chevy or not I hope the driver got out okay with just minor or no injuries

Thumbs down

I'm no expert but it looks like the driver wasn't belted in - that sure looks like a head impacted the windshield.
What in the heck could have hit that truck? I have NEVER seen a truck fold up that way. As much as I dislike Chevy's I sure do hope the driver is okay as you said. I think this person needs a prayer or 2! I still can't get over these pics! Looks like the parking light assembly was actually shoved out! Man this is a terrible accident.

I know this is wrong but: This is what happens when the front brakes brake too hard on a chevy

Seriously though, OUCH! I hope the driver made it okay. Too bad though it is a nice color...

That Shovie in the pic must be the SWB (short wheelbase) model.

Well its a good thing that this truck was probably the only thing involved in the accident. From the looks of it the guy put the truck on its side (he was probably going pretty fast too) and then slid it into a pole or something and wraped it around the pole. After working the number of accidents I have you can piece together accidents pretty well.

powersrtoke73:
interesting theory, but neither side looks very scratched up as you would think it would be in a high speed slide. also how would the bed get crushed the way it is?
definitely looks like a head shot to the windshield.
i was thinking rearended by semi then pushed into ditch or median. just a thought.
seen it happen to a mini van on my way to fla this year. only on driver side. not pretty at all. pushed the van at least 200 yds down the median, then parked the truck on the passenger side. vans fault, in a hurry to get in front of that truck.

Thats a great looking chevy I think all chevys should look like that when they roll out of the factory . Seriously I hope the driver made it out okay looks like it was rear ended by a big rig and pushed into another car in front or a pole or what ever.

with an impact like that I'm shocked the rims with the flat tires didn't shatter.
The rims on my mom's 85 F250 4X4 split in half after having to skid on cement when she was hit by a guy going atleast 65.

Cool

Wildchild: take a look at the drivver's side up close...big gash in fender, no mirror, scratches in the door. Probably a slider after all.
But since none of us was there (thank you Lord for watching over me and mine) it's all just a guess.

Does look like a head shot to the windshield.. Also, aren't all the new cars and trucks designed so that when the airbag is deployed the windshield will let go also...I am almost sure I read it somwhere...

If I can find the pic's i'll post when I do you guy will lov'em...

my wife took out a fire hydrant and throw it 65' away (No honey I wasn't exceeding the speed limit or lost control... By the time I got there 11 mins...the pressure of the water ate it's way through the firewall..blew out the moon roof of my 97 Mark VIII... and shot into the air some 40 to 50 feet.. that was a sie to see..

Wife was very lucky only broke right arm but lost all her priviledges in driving my vehicles hahahahaha John from NC
