Anybody with a Remington 12ga?

Hey all i got a 11-87 premeir trap 12ga shotgun the the butt of the gun seems to a bit loose.

now i have a gooiee pad on the back what type of screws went on the stock buttcheek? i need to take the pad off so i can tighten down the stock.

if anybodys ever done this please chime in im bored tonight.

also am i gonna need any special tools?

humm i got an 870 its got a rubber pad on the back of it. on my mosin nagant i know its total diff. but its just 2 big screw looking things...i used the baynot to tighten them up lol. just a big flat blade screw driver should work...i think can you post a picture of the stock?

Mine has a rubber pad.
Pretty much everyone here has a Remington 12, though, we established that a little while back, so I am sure that someone will come along with more knowledge.

Well i got it off Good god was that a pain. i guess there Square heads. but got it off tightned that thing inside. the stock seems to be a bit more secure. im not even going to try to put the pad back on till i get the proper tool. i dont want to risk tearing it.

i wish i had a better camera

oh ya btw the pad is from www.trapdude.com

I've seen a couple of them patched up. They're kinda weak back there. There is a shoulder inside the tube the long screw passes through. The last one I helped patch up, we ended up just putting a larger washer on the screw. The best fix would be to order a new stock.
