Unhappy Said goodbye to a friend today

Our little buddy Sammy. He got sick a few weeks ago, and never recovered. It was a tough decision to put him down, but he was suffering. I never thought I'd get attached to a cat, but this guy was pretty cool. Our daughters took it hard when I broke it to them today, but they knew it was for the best. We rescued him 9 years ago, and he lived the good life while it lasted. We'll miss the little guy.

I feel for ya, really do.
I am not a cat guy either, but had a HUGE black cat and he was awesome, had the best personality. Had pictures on here on the old gallery, but it all went poof, I guess.
Sorry to hear about your loss.

I feel your pain bro. We had to put ours down almost a year ago now and it was very difficult. Probably should have done it sooner but it was hard to face the reality. His name was Butch. We have 2 cats now and we enjoy them and love them to death. Well most of the time anyway. Its amazing how attached you can become to an animal. We would love to have a dog but just dont have the time for one right now.

I think I remember you showing a pic of him in another thread roaming around in your truck if Im correct.
Rest in peace Sammy.

Thanks for the kind words all. There weren't any dry eyes around here this afternoon. I was especially outa sorts when I held him as he received the injections. I'm glad I did though, because it was a moving moment. Hopefully we can get another one soon.

Sorry man. Pets are a big part of our lives. It's always tough when they leave us.

Man putting an animal down is hard. I had a cat since I was a little kid that we had to have put down at age 18 or 19. He was my buddy and used to follow me every morning on my paper route when I was younger. That was really hard. As hard as it is to watch him be put down I know I have to be there with them because I would hate to have his last few moments be with a stranger, scared and sick.

Sorry to hear your loss! My parent's got me a cat when i was two years old.He was a black cat named Casey. That cat was my best friend and my body guard. He would follow me around everywhere i went and knew when i was sick cause he wouldn't leave my side till i was well again. He was attacked by two of our neighbors dog's and died from his injuries a couple day's later. I was 18 years old. I want another cat eventually but still miss him alot.

That's tough to do, I know, I've done it myself.
