get your stuff together

in the last month i have lost 2 close friends.
one to a heart attack and another to a motorcycle accident. IN both cases their affairs were far from in order. the familys had a full plate dealing with the death, they didnt need the finacial hassell. Nothing like having to ask for money to bury a daddy.

#1, have your wife or a friends name on bank accouts, if you dont want them to have access then get a POD, payable on death name put on the accounts.

#2, have enough life insurance. you deside. i want enough for my wife to be able to pay off the house and to be able to stay home with the kids until they are 18.

#3 if you are over 40 or have any family history of sickness, go to the fricken doctor and get a check up

#4 have a will made.

#5 dont leave large sums to a minor. his mother or whoever raises him might need thet money to make it. also how well do you think it would work out to drop a large amount on a 18 year old, talk about no reason to go to school or start working.

i just cant tell you enough how unexpected both deaths were. stop rolling the dice with your familys well being. no one ever thinks it will happen to them.

i miss both of my freinds, i am not mad at them, i just wish we didnt have to worry so much about their families.
