Has anyone had any experience using the electronic water softeners to reduce hard water deposits on their trucks. (or other less important things, like showers, tubs, sinks, faucets, etc.)

I know this is a diverse group of people, so someone must have some advice on this subject.

I have seen these things anywhere from $200 - $500 and I like the idea of not having to add salt to my water.
