21 Days & counting
For anyone interested - our planned trip around the southern USA is on schedule. We have had response's from many board members and we appreciate them all.
If anyone would like to meet us, if we are in your area, or offer suggestions, we would appreciate it.
I have NO hard & fast itinerary in mind, EXCEPT that on March 16,or 17, 2001 I intend to be close to Darlington S.C. - for the Nascar race on the 18th.
We will leave Vancouver Island on Jan 6 & head south via I -5 - our first big stop (more than overnite) will be somewhwere between Phoenix & Tuscan - Casa Grande,Arz.?
From there it's New Mex., Texas (want to do part of the G.coast), Miss. Lou (N/O). Fla.& must do the Keys, - - that should take us to mid March & S. C.
We then plan Georgia, the smokies - probably a tour of THE J.D. spot (no samples at the plant) & then up the Ohio, or Miss. Valley to Manitoba Can. by the last wk. in April. - then 4 days or so back to our Island in the Pacific (Vancouver).
You can email us @ - bekair@home.com between now & Jan 6th, if you wish. after that it's traveling with a laptop and I have not yet set up an ISP - though now I use netzero. and it would be - bekair@netzero.net.
If anyone wanted to keep in touch, & we would love to hear from you, we will try to keep in touch. I ( the roadrunner, Margie, & Ginger the wonder dog) look forward to putting a face to some of the "F150 bunch".
Sorry for the long post.
Seasons Greetings to all.

Roadrunner,
Wanna see a NASCAR race? Come to NJ during the am rush hour ....... amateurs running bumper to bumper at 70 mph! Mix 'em in with the 18 wheelers and it's like "The Big One" at Talledega. It's really neat, no pits crews to fix 'em either. They shop 'til they drop!
------------------
Dunbarton "The Middle Aged Kid" '99 XLT SC SB 4x2 4.6 auto 3.55 ls The occasional Z-71 Eater! Wedgewood & Denim, SuperChipped, Airaid FIPK, HD electrical and cooling, power seat, Rhino Liner, Extang Classic tonneau cover, Mobil 1. Man, I got it all! (New Jersey)

Dunbarton: Your NASCAR race through the streets of New Jersey sounds like SNAFU-Ottawa traffic, except you mix in snow, ice and freezing rain and nobody slows down, and most folks run semi-bald "four-season" (four seasons in Tampa) tires. Definitely scary!
roadrunner: I'll be in Venice, Florida in February and again in late April. I'll monitor your progress and, if it works out, GREAT! I'd like to meet you and Margie and the wonder dog. Best of luck on your trip. And get off the Interstate! As much as you can, anyway. That's where the real stories are, the real people, are...

Black 2000 SC short-box XLT. 4.2 V-6, 5-speed, 3.55 limited-slip. CD, remote entry, factory side steps, rear fender inner splash shields (TSB 00-09-05), FORD box liner.
My third F-series. The other two: '73 F-100 Custom, 240 cube 6, 3 on the tree, tan, "West Coast" mirrors, step bumper, knitted vinyl seat, AM radio; and '98 F-150 XL-SC, XLS package, Pacific Green, 4.2 5-speed, 3.55 ls, FM-cassette.
GREAT trucks!
