Orphaned Buyer?
Has anyone every heard of this term? A friend of mine recently bought a Harley F-150. When he bought it he asked if there was going to be any financing programs coming up. His dealer told him no. Then about a month and a half later a great financing program started. He talked to his dealer and they told him that he was, what they called "an orphaned buyer."
I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of this, and if so, what can he do about it. The regional manager for Ford has offered he an extended warranty package at no cost, but the total difference between what he will end up paying and what he could have paid through the programming was about $7000 because of the difference in interest.
I figured, if they have a name for those kind of people, they must have a policy for dealing with it. Right?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
