Post Travel with a laptop

Some of you may be aware that I am going on a journey thru the US starting in Jan. for 4 months.
Any suggestions for keeping in touch via email would be helpfull. I am on a cable connection at home & will be deleting this service while im gone. Like - no ISP, so I will be at the mercy of phones that I can tap into with a modem, or capmpgrounds that are modem friendly. Up here in Canada I am using Freelane, by Excite, for N/C connections on the laptop, as I dont want, or need ANOTHER ISP here
Any advice ???

PS - laptop is HP c/w amd k6-2 550 mz & Windows ME - should i just contact Wm. Gates???

rr

well, you must be from pt pelee/ leamington southernmost part of canada...

actually I travel some I use a national isp, such as worldnet, earthlink or something like that. Their dialer should have all the various pop's programmed into it.

You can try the freebie isp's but they are dropping like flies and dodge's and I havent tried traveling with them. Costco, barnes & noble, kmart all use spinway for free isp service.

I travel a great deal with my job, over several states. (Yep, in my awesome SCrew). I have a Dell notebook that travels well. I use Earthlink, because they have great service(never busy signals), lots of local numbers, and solid connections. Yeah, it is $20 a month, but well worth it to know I can get online from most anywhere I travel.

Plus F-150 Online is a great way to pass time in a hotel room!

Earthlink is a good national one if you don't mind paying for it. Free-I, or BlueLight, or NetZero are good freebies around here if you can stand the ads. I've heard NetZero is buying up a lot of them acroess the country, so you might want to check them out...

Talking

ROADRUNNER: WERE PRACTICALLY NEIGHBORS!!!!

I actually live in the desert of eastern Washington State (despite my handle).

Depending where your travels take you, you'll probably go right by my house!!

Wave as you go by!!
