Boot it up into Windows, and open a command prompt (start, run, cmd) and type:

chkdsk c: /r

Answer yes to all prompts and restart the computer. It will take a couple hours to thoroughly check the disk, see how it runs then. If it's still crappy, try a recovery again.

brought my computer to a place to get it fixed and they did a quick scan on it and my anti virus was out of date and so when i started downloading music from s torrent, I was unprotected so I had a nasty virus. So its getting fixed. Go figure right, thats what I get for illegally downloading music...nice Drew.

Just thought I would update you guys on it. Thanks alot for all the helpful input tho!!
