I remember the clear water and white beaches about 26 years ago, when I visited my brother who lived in Fort Walton Beach when he was stationed at Eglin AFB. Beautiful place!

Nope, its called crab island and it looks like that year round. I used to live close the there and my family still lives in Niceville. I have spent many of summer weekends on crab island.

Here's a few more pics from this past saturday. Met some freinds out at Destin Harbor. Lots of fun, food, and beer!

My boat there in the middle.

Man, that place looks like fun. I've never seen someone beach their boat in reverse like that, can't be good the the lower units. Either way, nice living you all have down there. I'm about to de-winterize mine pretty soon here in MD.

The shoreline drops off pretty severely right there. The boats that are backed in are between two anchors. They float freely without the outdrive being in the sand. I am about to purchase my second anchor so I can back in, too. It is a PITA to climb through the rail on the bow, or to swim to the rear platform every time I need to get in the boat. I also need a better ladder on the swim platform. One step doesn't cut it for my fat ****

Heck I live in FL and even I'm jealous. The water where I am is dark and full of catfish.

Of course, there's nothing wrong with that.

Man, I love that I know exactly where you are in almost every picture!
My dad just bought a place on the beach and on the bay! Life is good.
