I have a OFNA on road car with a .15 engine w/2speed tranny. Just lost the engine and need to rebuild it though.

I have an old Blackfoot R/C with a 89/90 F-150 body, completely modded. I first picked up a monster mash engine for it. I've bought like 2 sets of tires, a set of knobbied and some big jumbo monster truck tires that are about 7" in diameter. My dad made these small tire chains for it, using the stock tires that it came with. They work great for launching off of snowbanks! I replaced the stock shocks with some oil filled alluminum shocks. Installed a structural frame for stability on the high impact hits. I also bought a limited slip differential for it, to hook up off the line. It cost like over $100! And they ended up melting because the outer ring gear was made of plastic and the inner ball bearing clutch was made of steel! I don't know what brainyack design that thing. I also took the stock 7.2v battery and cut it apart, and soddered in 2 extra cells, making it like a 9.6v battery. Unfortunately the current was to intense, and it usually would start the mechanical speed controller on fire! I was looking into purchasing a electronic s/c for it, but the price of those are around $350! I think I have a pic of it. I should scan it and show you.

Wow! I didn't think there would be anybody here that has R/C trucks.
Andrew, how does your OFNA run? I've heard those are fast as hell, especially with a two speed!

Fordification, your blackfoot sounds sweet!

Squanto, that Clod is awesome! I've been wanting one like yours for so long, just didn't want to put up the cash, my trucks are good for now and can take a hell of a beating. Have you ever visited www.RCMT.net I know a tons of people that would love to see your trucks!

Case15, WOW!! Great site! Thanks for telling me about it. Been looking for some other upgrades for both of my trucks. I took the ESP kit and modified it and now has killer articulation!

I would like to do some things to my Gas USA-1, but never could find anything for it. Hopefully that site can help.
Thanks, Scott

Cool

The manufacturer states around 50mph(top speed)with a .15 engine w/2-speed. Ive had it going pretty fast and rolled it flipping about 6 times once breaking a alum. shock and the shock tower. My car doesnt handle good enough for those speeds ! I blew the OFNA .15 this summer.

Amazing! I thought the Blackfoot was out-dated, but there's still alot of guys with them. This hobby can sure get expensive. I have so many hobbies going, I don't have the money or time to get back into it. It's really to bad though. I'd still never sell my truck, mainly because I'd never get the value out of it.

These are my past/present/future hobbies:
1)model rockets (Past)
2)RC trucks (Past)
3)snowmobiling (Past)
4)video games (Past)
4)off-roading (Present)
5)dirt biking (Present)
6)drag racing (Present)
7)snowmobiling (Future)
Can you tell I like motorsports!

What are your hobbies?

I have an RC10b3,T3, TAO2 S-10(Sorry not F-150),TA04, RC10LSS and what else, oh an old RC10 Worlds Car. Novak SC's, Reedy Mods and a Caliber 3p to control them with. Last but for sure least is my boat, its a Tower tunnel hull electric that is a pig, but if I put a mod in it, it burns the motor up. Oh well, at least I can play battleship with it and my .22

Wow nice trucks!

I have an old Losi XXT stadium truck w/14 turn triple..which in turn FRIED my ESC some 4+years ago. Looking at your RC's make me want to get another ESC and go racing again.

Anyone have a used ESC that would handle my motor that they would part with for cheap?

Jason
