Really sorry to hear that. Sometimes I wonder if it is worth it to have a nice vehicle. Hope they catch them.

Sorry to hear about your tires and rims being ripped off. I have to replace a rim on my truck that was damaged from hitting a pot hole at a fast speed that caused my tire to blow out I went to the dealer to find out the cost of a new rim is just over 200 bucks. So the tire store is trying to find one somewhere for less and hope to have one by monday I'd hate it to one of yours that I end up getting.

Thumbs up

UPDATE
Got a call from one of Durhams police detectives. Seems there were other larceny break-ins around the same time in my area 2 streets over. They have a couple suspects in that case and are checking to see if they may be responsible for mine also. I hope they are and they nail them to the wall. He mentioned that my area doesn`t have a history for breakins/thefts and it was highly unusual to have more than one in the same time period. To him they seem to be related due to this and nature of the thefts.
Justice may be served after all in this and I am more than happy to press charges when the time comes. Keeping my fingers crossed these are the people!

Thanks for all the support and helpful comments on this guys/gals, its been appreciated.

putting out an ad looking for late model f150 parts is actually a good idea if you are looking for your stolen stuff.
a while back someone's barn got broken into and a lot of their tack (saddles and such) got stolen. a friend happened to be looking thru the classifieds and noticed a sale ad for tack that was similar to the stolen tack. and sure enough, it was the stolen tack. Got their stuff back and busted the thieves.

have you looked for used factory rims at wheel shops? I know they will buy rims for $50-100.

Unhappy

I'm really sorry to hear about your tires/rims. Too bad they weren't Firestone's - maybe the thieves would have had a tire come apart on THEM! Sorry - just wanted to try to make you laugh!
Here's another scam to watch for - hopefully it WON'T happen to you. In Brooklyn, NY they will steal a battery. Then they watch for the car - knowing there's a BRAND NEW battery in it & steal that one! And the next & the next! It happened to my Aunt - she went thru 4 batteries & ended up with a Chapman lock, siren & ignition kill switch just to stop these punks! When you get your new rims/tires, make sure the truck is well lit if you can! It would be worth getting motion detector lights in NOW while you're waiting so you can be ready! If I were you I'd probably sleep in the truck for awhile too! Then I'd clobber them if they came back around!
I hope they are caught & soon & that they get everything that's coming to them! Good luck! Keep us posted!

An after thought, you might want to check out your local flea markets. The Raleigh Flea Market vendors seem to always get busted for selling stolen goods...just a thought in case they don't get those Halloween Goblins!
