Everything was going fine before the Dems took over in 06, we all know it. GW created FAR more jobs than were lost in the last 6 months of his presidency. On Bush's watch the market saw 14,000+, you can't blame the housing market on Bush, those are Clinton policies, and the chairman of the house finacial services committee didn't see a problem, so why would Bush be trying to do something about it?

I'm not trying to play the party game, but common guys, Bush couldn't get anything passed even if we has trying to with Pelosi and Reid at the reins of Congress.
