Lightbulb Obama is taking the teleprompter one step further...

It is painfully obvious that Obama uses a teleprompter at EVERY speaking engagement. It doesn't matter if it's a 2 minute introduction or a 2 hour speech, he uses a teleprompter. Well he apparently doesn't think that is enough.

http://foxforum.blogs.foxnews.com/20..._teleprompter/

Apparently, Obama is looking to install a computer screen into the White House podiums so that, according to one Obama advisor, “It would make it easier for the comms guys to pass along information without being obvious about it.” [Emphasis added.] Obama’s aides would put together answers to a large number of possible questions so as soon as a reporter asks a particular question the computer screen could flash talking points to remind Obama how he’s supposed to respond to that question.

That is unbelievable. He can't answer a question without having a computer screen pop up and tell him what to say? This guy just keeps getting better and better.

I'm sure Obama and his aides share the same point of view... so in essence you have never used something written down to remind you of your opinion on a topic or your answer to the topic?

I don't understand why Obama has to be attacked on little things... we need to support whoever our president is, especially in times of a recession in my opinion. If we do not support a leader even if the do not share all of our views I do not see how they can help us.

Written notes is one thing... having your staff pop up what you are "supposed" to say to answer a question is something completely different. Why even hold a press conference. Just take the list of questions and post a reply. That isn't a press conference if you are reading your answer from a prompt on a computer screen.

Either he doesn't know the answers to the questions or he doesn't want the true Obama coming out. Otherwise he would just answer the dang questions. Why does he take a teleprompter with him everywhere he goes. He doesn't do a speaking engagement without it. What do foreign dignitaries and Presidents think when he shows up over seas and has to set up his teleprompter before he holds his press conferences. That instills great confidence in him from abroad I'm sure.

We need to support whoever is president? Is this something new, because I didn't hear that once from '00 to '08. It's hard to support someone who is taking our country so far to the left, so, so fast. It's hard to support someone who is tearing down what has taken many generations of great Americans to build, in the name of "fairness". It's hard to support someone who believes he can decide who has too much, who has enough and who should benefit from the success of others. It's hard to support someone who believes that passivity is the proper foreign policy even though that's what emboldened terrorists and allowed them to kill thousands of innocent American people. It's hard to support someone who achieved political success by stepping on the backs of the people he claimed to represent.

Some might see this story as an attack on the president. He works for us and I see it as pointing out incompetence. This is a first, so somehow all previous presidents were able to function without being "prompted". After eight years of constant complaints, we should be expecting more, not less.

That report is from foxnews...what do you expect?

I'd rather have Obama have a teleprompter than listen to the previous pres fumble around the English language like a 3rd grader.

For a 2 minute speech he should not have to use a teleprompter. But he uses them every time he gives even the smallest of speeches. The reason is because he sounds more ridiculous than GW did. I've seen too many off the cuff interviews where he cannot even answer a small question directly. This is besides the "a's, uhm’s" that make him sound as if he is a teenager speaking. He is a great speaker when it’s spelled out in front of him. I honestly think he has a difficult time thinking on his own. He always goes back to “I’m going to get together with my team of advisors to figure out what to do.”

A thread attacking obama's oratory skills?
You're really looking desperate now.

The guy is master debater.
Everytime he steps behind a podium he is master debating like you wouldn't believe.

I'd be a master orator and debater as well if everything were fed to me. Why don't they just put a bug in his ear and tell him everything to say? Everything he's pushing right now, whose agenda is it really? Who's behind the scenes? This raises a bunch of questions when he can't do a 10 minute press conference without being prompted on what to say. Great minds and great orators of past would be mocked incessantly for less...
