Alot of this is true to some extent, this has been ongoing since 1984, just Google "Rex 84"
for more info. And FWIW: the US Govt only lets us know what they want us to know, yeah, go outside and smell the roses...if their really roses...

Guy's, the Democrat's aren't stupid. They know that if they pass any laws like the ones you are talking about, they will be out of office in 2010. You will have a house and senate full of Republicans.

Obama AND congress would have to change the way our officials are elected to office before they would think about doing any of this.

Here's a letter from Ike Skelton(D) (US Rep-MO), head of the armed service committee, sent to Nancy Pilosi and some other high ranking Dem.

He knows that they will all be out of jobs in 2 years if they start doing this stuff. And he's just talking about the Assault rifle ban.

Sent to me last week, my buddy is his assistant chief of staff.

NO.ONE.WANTS.YOUR.GUNS.PERIOD.
You really need to do some research on some of our elected officials. Ignorance is stupidity personified.

Jeez. What some people will believe.
Here is a link to the text of HR 45, aka the Blair Holt law. http://www.opencongress.org/bill/111-h45/text The sponsor is Bobby Rush, D-Ill.

To summarize, if you own any pistol or if you own a rifle with a detachable magazine, you will need to get a license and register the gun with the federal government. In addition to the annual registration fee (not to exceed $25/year), you will need to pass a test and conform to certain restrictions to get your license.

The law also gives the Attorney General (currently Eric Holder) the ability to enter anyone's residence to inspect your guns and to make sure you are complying wiht all the law's restrictions.

Basically, it will be much more expensive to own a gun, and the federal government will know how many guns you have, where you keep them and how you store them, even though you have never committed any crime whatsoever.

While this bill would not actually confiscate your guns, it sure gives the government (specifically the Attorney General) a nice head start when they decide to cross that line.

^^^^^^^^^^^^ again, see my post above.

They may get the new ammo tax passed but anymore than that and we'll all be voting Republican in 2010.

That law will never pass congress.

I'd put my money on camps for Mexican "refugees". The problem with drug violence across the border is totally getting glossed over. The violence is spilling over into the US at an alarming rate.

I think you might be losing the perspective here. Why would FEMA build a unit in Alaska that has a capacity of 2 MILLION and then call it a mental facility. That's how the **** concentration camps started- mental facilitys. If Joe Common decides that the morons in Washington no longer have the pulse of nation or the best interest of the people at heart and decides that he and his family are not going to "obey" some new law, is he now a mental case? If the morons in Washington actually pass a bill that makes it a felony to have ammo, does that make you a mental case if you don't turn it in? Are you aware that any President, at any time, for any reason can take control of the Gov't and all elections are off? It's not just that if they pass legislation that would control ammo you would just vote another party in. You might not get to vote at all-ever again. The problem as I see it, the zipper heads in Washington have slowly started to position the President to take over this country, have the military at their disposal to bring the population under control, and do whatever they please. Remember, the Bolsheviks had less than 15% of the popular vote and took over Russia. It happened there, it can happen here with even fewer individuals involved. Like they always told us in grade school, freedom is precious and fragile. Our freedoms have already been disappearing, this could easily be the next big step to taking over this, the richest country country in the world. Greed has no boundary's.

I find it interesting that something that big---that can hold 2,000,000 people does not have an exact location---how can the media miss it---you are always saying how liberal the media is---and how the media would want to expose something like this. Fairbanks, Alaska---where---map of the place relative to Fairbanks, please.

Hard to hide the camps that are this big and this obvious, isn't it?

Yeah, I would be surprised if they are THAT big.

I also object to calling them 'concentration camps'. If the even exist, detention centers are one thing. Concentration camps are something different, and evoke images of extermination.
